Originally a limited edition print, this Lebron James illustration is now available as an open edition print in the Dark Wing Store. Great piece for the Lebron fans out there – also works great as a dart board for all the haters.
As a Suns fan, there hasn’t been a lot of excitement surrounding the team since Amare Stoudemire relocated to a New York area code and the Suns tried to fill the void with a number of bad contracts. While this year’s team should once again finish towards the bottom of the pack (in fact, I’ll be upset if they don’t end up with a top 4 pick in next year’s draft), excitement did arrive this summer in a package aptly called ‘Baby Lebron’ aka Eric Bledsoe.
This is my tribute to the young, athletic-freak of a point guard. I can’t wait to watch him this season.
Commissioned illustration of ‘The Captain’ aka Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees. I’m thinking of making a version with just the action illustration of Jeter swinging the bat available in the Dark Wing Store. Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in getting your hands on!
I have been fortunate enough to have been asked to contribute artwork for the past 3 editions of the new online magazine put out by the awesome folks over at The Classical (seriously, if you enjoy sports and/or pop culture and/or all-around awesome stuff check them out). For the latest edition (available now on iTunes) I did this piece for a great USC/Reggie Bush article written by Mike Piellucci titled ‘Reggie Buse Escapes’. Really stoked with how the illustration turned out and excited to have contributed to an awesome piece.
This is not currently available as a print but can be made available if there is demand for it. Let me know if this is something you’d like to have hanging on your walls.
I just can’t stay away from these Threadless character challenges! While I’m still awaiting word on whether or not my Plankton tee is getting printed, please go score my SEÑOR BURNS tee in The Simpsons challenge!
“It’s a cliche to say that a player can do things fans have never seen before, but Sandoval seems to play baseball as if normalcy were unattainable.”
I did this illustration of Pablo Sandoval for an article in the latest issue of The Classical’s online magazine written by Eric Freeman (the quote above is from Eric’s article). If you like sports, pop culture, great writing and/or great art you should DEFINITELY check it out.
For the last few years I’ve been asked quite a few times by more than a few people to do an Arizona Diamondbacks illustration. This is that illustration – featuring the league leader in RBIs Paul Goldschmidt.
